I'm getting more acquainted with the wise and insightful Rev. Jackson through your posts. In my ignorance, I had dismissed him as someone I need not pay attention to. By God's grace I have repented of my former way of life, and am in awe of Rev. J's powerful grasp on the way things are, what is ours to do. Thank you.

I have always been impressed by the fortitude and stoicism of the civil rights patriots like Reverend Jackson. On Bloody Sunday, the 61st anniversary of which was this past weekend, they looked those segregationist devils squarely in the eyes and sent them straight back to hell.
Much like the authors of our nation’s Declaration of Independence and Constitution, they sacrificed “(their) lives, (their) fortunes, and (their) sacred honor,” to defend freedom, pursue justice, and “form a more perfect union.”
G_d bless Jesse Jackson. May his memory be a blessing.
We have lost a true hero for people of all colors. Will there be anyone to replace his leadership abilities and strength during my lifetime? I hope so. We need both very badly now.
