Also, if you use proceeds of public lands sales as revenue to offset tax cuts, how will it be replaced in the next budget reconciliation? There are so many reasons not to do this!

Such an important story. Thank you for highlighting it, and for interviewing Ryan Busse.

The great wild places that need our protection, offer every citizen a safe, and often magnificent, place to bring their spiritual selves to. Our national parks are also a place we bring our children to, so that they might experience lessons never taught in school. One could also say that our vast tracks of public land, serve as a great Chapel.

(Check out the superb Ken Burns film, shown at the North Carolina, Birth of US Forestry complex.)

Thank you again for highlighting this critical issue.

We simply cannot allow any sales of public lands! Once they are gone - developed, mined, clear cut, sold - they are gone. And it’s not that they are “our” public lands. It’s that they are EARTH. And so much of Earth is already gone. Nothing will bel eft for the future, and selling public lands will actually endangers the future for all of us. Humans and all species. If necessary, we must put our bodies out there to stop the destruction. There will be no public comment period, They’ll just sell them off with no oversight. Stopping these sales MUST be a priority!

The problem with Thom Tillis (R) from NC is that he talks out of both sides of his mouth and then says, "I have to support the party." He needs to go!

The lot next to me in South Lake Tahoe was just surveyed after 30 years. The land was donated to the Forest service to avoid property taxes on land that was unbuildable. The sewer permits were sold off to condominium developers where a single home sewer permit could be used for new developments of 100 units. The land owner purchased the lot on speculation. Now the federal government is laundering the value of the property and will sell it to developers at rock bottom prices to a select few maga donors. Should be illegally as money laundering.

Why doesn’t MT have any lands on the list, especially with Daines (R-MT) as co-author? 🤔

This is such an important message! Thank you for covering it. This is an is an issue that should unite all Americans. We all own these lands, use these lands, and love these lands. These lands bring revenue every year. They support many of our small businesses. We’re robbing our progeny to benefit extractive industries. How many communities rely upon the tourism to our public lands.

When the next democratic president and Congress take back all this land and repairs the damage, the bill will go to all the companies, like oil companies, will be taxed to pay for the repair.

-this needs to be said UpFront Now.

We Must defeat this bill

If it passes, we need to make it clear.

The next democratic president will take back All this land and More as national park land again.

Any building on it will immediately be part of our land.
